Dark Roast Cuban:
Dark roasted, smooth like a Sumatran bean, full flavour, some sharpness. The dark roast Cuban is a very dark roast.
Medium Roast Cuban:
Medium roasted from the same Cuban green beans
for a lighter and very smooth, rich flavour, the Medium Roast has a truly
superb aroma.
Swiss Water® Decaf Blend:
Decaffeinated beans from a variety of tropical countries. Due to popular demand for an organic fair trade decaffeinated coffee, and since Cuban decaf is not available, we are offering this non-Cuban decaf blend.

Price increase as of June 15, 2010
For the first time in the history of Shore coffee we will be increasing the price of our coffee and
shipping. Understandably increasing production and shipping costs have to be passed along sooner or
later. We hope you understand, as we value your business.
Cuban coffee is a true specialty coffee. It is highly prized in both Asia and Europe, but because of the
U.S. embargo is little known in North America. It is likely the oiliest coffee in the world, allowing it
to be dark roasted without any burning. Its unique flavour is owing to the unique soils and mixture
of beans in Cuba. As well we are pleased that, unlike the practises in most countries, the farmers are
treated well in Cuba.
We wish that we could have the organic certification reinstated on the Cuban beans, but the European
body that does the certification is far more strict than are our North American standards. Every time
there is a hurricane the region has to wait for three full years before regaining the certification! So it
has become impossible. Nevertheless, the beans are shade-grown and all organic measures are taken.
Indeed, virtually all foods grown in Cuba are organic!
